Blaster

As a Replicant Detective ... or "Blade Runner", the firearm you will be using is the PKD Blaster. This is not available on the open market - it is for special police units only. At the lower end of the physical scale, the latest replicants are at least as strong as a fit human. At the top end, they are far stronger and can withstand high levels of pain and damage. If faced with a Nexus 6 combat model, you will certainly need the power delivered by this weapon.

When targeting a known replicant, you are authorized to shoot to kill. Be sure though as killing a human by mistake is as serious as under any other circumstances. If you are sure, then areas to target are the same as those in a human as replicants are anatomically the same as us.

You will receive full training on the special elements of the blaster and how to look after it. In Rep-Detect, you are expected to put in time practising at the firing range every week. This includes practise in quick-draw. Speed and accuracy are vital when dealing with replicants, because quite simply, you don't get any second chances.
